2 Days to Go...

Well, after going back and forth deciding whether to drive out and fly back, or drive round-trip, we finally decided to drive round-trip! So, our plan as of now is to drive from San Francisco (south bay actually), out to Yellowstone, on to Mt. Rushmore, then swing back via Denver and Las Vegas. Yes, it's a lot of driving, but what could be more fun than driving with two kids to entertain me!

This blog will be written by all of us, and we hope that others who plan trips along this path may find value from it. Our stops that we have chosen at this time are as follows. These may change if we don't like a certain town or we like one more than another. The only firm date we have is for Yellowstone since we wanted to book a room in case they filled up. Other than that, we're wide open. So, here are the towns we plan on stopping at along the way:

• Elko, NV
• Salt Lake City, UT
• Idaho Falls, ID
• Yellowstone National Park
• Grand Teton National Park
• Casper, WY
• Mt. Rushmore National Park
• Torrington, WY
• Denver, CO
• Green River, UT
• Las Vegas, NV
• Bakersfield, CA

As you can see, the small towns may change based on how small they are or how interesting they are (or are not!). However, the big destinations are pretty firm.
